Join Green Wasp Removal for an update video featuring our Relocated Polistes Metricus Paper Wasp nest. Back on May 21, 2022, this nest was found on the underside of a children's play structure, so it had to be relocated. It was put into captivity for study. Now, exactly one month later, on June 21, 2022, we show you the developing nest so you can see the growing larvae up close, observe their behavior, and watch as the foundress/queen malaxates insects and feeds them to her mature larvae. We'll be posting more updates for this wasp nest, and several others we are monitoring (in the wild and in captivity), throughout the 2022 wasp season.
