ON APRL 26TH, 2020, SOMETHING HAPPENED AND IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH SUPER MARIO BROS. X (SMBX)! THAT IS NEW SUPER MARIO BROS. X (NSMBX) V1.0 IS ACTUALLY NOW REAL AND CAME OUT ON APRIL 26TH, 2020 BY CORE! New Super Mario Bros. X (NSMBX) v1.0 is actually the very first version of the revived old NSMBX/Super Mario Bros.: Remastered (SMB:R) development that mr.game.and.watch14 worked on until the cancellation of development in 2012. As of now, Core is the leading developer of revived old NSMBX/SMB:R development, the SMBX v1.3 source code actually came out on February 2nd, 2020. Core actually had to transfer NSMBX to the TheXTech's engine (C++), development continued and continued, and here they are now. New Super Mario Bros. X (NSMBX) v1.0 (now renamed "Super Mario ReInvent) is a very good SMBX version for me, especially blocks, BGOs, level backgrounds, and NPC additions to it. However, despite that, New Super Mario Bros. X actually does lack some features that Super Mario Bros. X by 38A (SMBX-38A, SMBX v1.4.x) and Super Mario Bros. X2 (SMBX2) has. The new playable characters from SMBX2, the flagpole from SMBX-38A, GFX expansion, custom blocks, BGOs, and NPCs (ID: 750-1000), and more are absent in NSMBX. I use SMBX2 more than SMBX-38A (SMBX v1.4.x) as it is based off of SMBX v1.3, including the accurate movement for playable characters and NPCs, and it appears NSMBX has the same accurate movement just like in SMBX v1.3 and SMBX2. I feel that features from SMBX-38A and SMBX2 should be implemented in future NSMBX versions! The level editor for NSMBX v1.0 is the Platform Game Editor (PGE editor) by Wohlstand that anyone is able to make SMBX levels and worlds more easily than the older SMBX v1.3/1.3.0.1 & SMBX-38A (SMBX v1.4.x) editors. This is actually an alternative SMBX version for anyone who cannot run SMBX2, and NSMBX v1.0, SMBX2, and SMBX-38A are the successors to SMBX v1.3/1.3.0.1. -- SMBX Forum Link -- https://www.supermariobrosx.org/forum...
