Today, for my first official Artist Spotlight for The VIP Soundcheck, I'm honored to shine the spotlight on my favorite band, the beyond incredible THE WARNING! Begun in 2013 in Monterrey, Mexico, The Warning is comprised of the three Villarreal sisters: Daniela "Dany" (guitar and lead vocals), Paulina "Pau" (drums), and Alejandra "Ale" (bass). They achieved Internet viral fame at a very young age for their awe inspiring Youtube covers, most notably of Metallica's "Enter Sandman". Through their growth, you can see them become incredibly gifted musicians and songwriters. Led by Dany's enchanting rock voice, they have a unique sound that is at once fresh, and also reminiscent of some of the best classic rockers in music history! To date, The Warning have released one EP (2015's "Escape the Mind") and three full length LPs: 2017's "XXI Century Blood", 2018's "Queen of the Murder Scene", and 2022's epic "Error"! With phenomenal songs such as "Evolve", "XXI Century Blood", "Dust to Dust", and Brian's favorite "Choke", we're excited to see what's next for the Villarreal sisters! They even teamed up with ALESSIA CARA to perform a mind-blowing reimagined version of "Enter Sandman" for Metallica's new Blacklist albums!
