The No. 4-seed Reardan Screaming Eagles advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2B girls state tournament with a 43-37 win over 12th-seeded Raymond-South Bend Ravens in Spokane. Reardan got going early inside. Tenice Waters worked hard down low, using quick moves to finish at the rim for the first points of the game. The Ravens responded from the perimeter. Kassie Koski caught the ball off the inbound and knocked down her shot for a quick answer. Madisyn San then made it look easy for Reardan, gliding through defenders in the paint for a layup. The Screaming Eagles continued their offensive rhythm with a give-and-go from Rylynn Green to Chasyn Waters for another basket. Reardan’s defense held firm down the stretch to secure the six-point victory. The Screaming Eagles will face Brewster in the quarterfinals Thursday at 12:15 p.m. in Spokane.
