2007 Comfortmaker SoftSound 4 Ton Heat Pump Defrosting! (With Steam!) (HUGE Steam Show!)

This unit is located at a law firm building in Iowa City I filmed at not too long ago. This unit is VERY EASILY my favorite catch of ALL time! This unit literally went right into defrost right as I arrived at the place. This gave off a BIG amount of steam and this cycle lasted nearly 10 minutes long and is the longest defrost cycle I’ve caught so far! It was roughly 7 AM in the morning with humidity near 80% which made near PERFECT conditions. This technically wasn’t a “FULL” defrost cycle since I didn’t catch the unit going into defrost at the beginning but I’m still very happy with this catch nonetheless! I could be wrong but I think this might actually be a YouTube FIRST of this specific SoftSound model defrosting! I was absolutely ECSTATIC about this especially since I really like these SoftSounds models a lot! Easily my best catch of the season! This unit is nearly 19 to 20 years old and still working amazingly! Sorry for the video being shaky at times, I was just really excited and I was feeling kinda hectic as it went in.
