The Northern Warrior is a custom-built jet dragster designed and driven by Neale Armstrong, the long-serving track manager of Toronto Motorsports Park. Armstrong has been involved in drag racing from a young age, growing up near Dragway Park in Kohler, Ontario. In 1990, he began working as a Head Starter at Dragway Park, and in 1996 he founded the Canadian Drag Racing Series featuring pro/modified, top/dragster, and top/sportsman classes across Ontario and Quebec. Armstrong initiated the only multi-track Canadian drag racing series on a pro car level with cooperation among tracks. In 2001, he returned to racing by driving Lou Brookman's Chariot of Fire jet dragster, posting a best run of 5.17 ET at 302 MPH. In 2010, Armstrong advocated for the NHRA Canadian Nitro Nationals. Today, he races with his self-designed Northern Warrior jet dragster. Armstrong stands as the only Canadian to have collaborated with NHRA, IHRA, and AHRA. The Sonic Assassin jet dragster goes head-to-head with the Northern Warrior in this incredible jet car matchup.
