How to clean & sterilise your polystyrene nucs and hives - Ogston Bee Farm

A few years ago we started selling overwintered and summer nucs. All of our overwintered stock is raised in poly-nucs on either BS National or 14 x 12 frames and they do the job really well. However when it comes to cleaning and sterilising polystyrene kit the scraping and scorching method that we use for our wooden hives just isn't viable. Many people have asked me the question....... "How do you keep your polystyrene kit so clean and in such good condition?" Well the answer's here in this video............. It's not my favourite job of the year but it definitely works for me.
