Shadow Warrior 2 is, somewhat unexpectedly, a first-person action RPG which arguably has more in common with something like Borderlands than it does with 3D Realm's original Build engine-powered entry in the series. Most of the levels are procedurally generated and there's an emphasis on loot, skill points and fat damage numbers flying off the enemies. Much as with the first Shadow Warrior reboot from Polish developer Flying Wild Hog, the juvenile humor of the game's script and dialogue is an acquired taste - which I'm personally not about to "get" anytime soon - and this Lo Wang is in some ways even more grating and offensive than the (significantly less talkative) 1997 version of him. Thankfully, the frantic action and surprisingly good graphics means that you rarely have time to pay attention to anything else than making enemy bodies explode and picking up yet another fancy-looking weapon...
