We spent 3 unforgettable days in Jakarta, and staying at The Langham was truly the most surreal hotel experience we’ve ever had. Please note: The rate of $160 per night felt very affordable to us, especially considering we live in London, where a hotel of this standard typically costs between $800 and $1,000 per night. At that price point in London, you'd usually only find a Airbnb outside of central London. From the moment we landed, everything was perfection. The hotel arranged our airport transfer, and the concierge was already waiting with our name on a sign, car ready, smiles on, and names already remembered. That level of personal attention didn’t stop. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with warmth, professionalism, and the kind of elegance you dream of. Our room was ready immediately, complete with a handwritten welcome note, the most delicious cake I’ve had in years, and balloons to set the mood. Yes, balloons! The service? Next level. We received regular deliveries of complimentary water, the concierge checked in on us, and the housekeeping staff went above and beyond, even polishing our sunglasses on the last day and leaving a free microfiber cloth. Every single detail felt intentional and thoughtful. Even at the elevators, there was always someone there to assist us, making sure we got to the right floor. And the elevators and everything around them were so polished and spotless, it genuinely felt like we were stepping into a brand new hotel every single day. The hotel facilities were just as incredible, from a stunning pool and fully equipped gym to world-class restaurants offering Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine. Every meal was flawless. This stay raised the bar for what luxury travel should feel like.
