Here is where I track my workouts ----- https://bit.ly/3SZVPTl I am Bench Pressing every day for the rest of my life. I am doing this for many reasons. The first reason is to be a symbol of hard work and consistency. I want to show you that it is possible to show up every single god damn day to something. There are no excuses. The second reason is to achieve results I never thought possible for me. The third is to grow a YouTube channel doing something I love, which is lifting weights. The fourth is to inspire new lifters. The Bench Press was never an exercise I prioritised in the beginning of my lifting journey. I started in July 2017 and in the first few years of training, I was your typical gym goer. I didn't have any progressive overload plans, and I picked up any weight and performed any number of reps. It wasn't structured, so many years went by of just showing up and lifting weights. In the first few years of lifting weights, I never thought about being strong. I just wanted to look good. I never knew about powerlifting or strongman. But as I began to educate myself more and more as time went by, I began to fall in love with the idea of getting stronger. There are some very memorable moments in my Bench Press journey. I remember going to a gym and bench pressing 90kg x 3 reps with no reps left in the tank. I remember bench pressing 100kg x 1 for the very first time. I couldnt contain the excitement of telling my best friend Emmet. I remember one time asking my father to help unrack 120kg so I could perform negatives. I was not able to push the 120kg off my chest and I remember thinking I will never be able to press 120kg ever. Now look at me, I am pressing it for 7 clean reps and one day I will double that number. Going to the gym should be a place of healing, meditation, self belonging. It's a place where you can let your frustrations out and I truly love it, as should you. It's a place where you can be free.
