My RH park lamp went out and I found it really ridiculous and unpalatable that BMW used a low quality LED/LED driver assembly that is sealed in the lamp housing. This required a $500CAD replacement taillight assembly from the dealer. They should sell these replacements for cost price as LED's should outlive the car based on even an average life expectancy. If you are going to seal a lamp in an enclosure, it had better be the highest quality one that money can buy. Anyways Rant about BMW's practices out of the way, I bought a full set of lights (all 4 pieces) online, they came off a 08 M3 coupe that were changed out for LCI lights. They will not fit the 07 convertible so I had to take them apart and reuse the led strip. The process is found in the video. Only thing i have to recommend if someone wants to attempt this is to warm a knife and cut the plastic as this method will not create particles that will create a mess inside the lamp housing. I had to flush mine out then dry it with a heat gun thoroughly to get all moisture out. After joining the wires and securing the LEDs in the housing with hot glue. it was sealed up and works as the original did.
