The Pokemon Gold/Silver remake and arguably the best game in the Pokemon series, Pokemon Crystal added a whole slew of new features to the games including animated Pokemon sprites at the start of battle, the Battle Tower, the ability to choose your gender at the start of the game, a slew of graphical and technical improvements, new cutscenes and characters, and a new narrative focus on Suicune and the Unown. Some of these features would even become series mainstays. Regardless, Pokemon Crystal is a great game and one of the better examples of the iterative Pokemon releases.
