Let’s get started with the materials you’ll need and the step-by-step instructions! [Materials Needed] 1. Fabric (soft cotton or linen) 2. Sewing machine 3. Scissors 4. Measuring tape 5. Pins 6. Thread (matching the fabric) 7. Pattern paper 8. Chalk or fabric marker 9. Buttons or snaps (for the blazer) [Step 1: Creating the Patterns] • Top: Measure the baby’s chest, length from shoulder to waist, and arm circumference. Draw the pattern on the paper and cut it out. • Pants: Measure the baby’s waist, hip, and length from waist to ankle. Create the pattern and cut. • Blazer: Measure the chest, shoulder width, arm length, and blazer length. Draw and cut the pattern. [Step 2: Cutting the Fabric] • Lay out your fabric on a flat surface. • Pin the patterns onto the fabric. • Carefully cut the fabric pieces for the top, pants, and blazer. [Step 3: Stitching the Top] • Sew the shoulder seams together. • Attach the sleeves by aligning them with the armholes and sewing. • Sew the side seams from the sleeve end to the bottom of the top. • Hem the sleeves and bottom edge. • Finish the neckline with bias tape or a facing.
