Crawfish is a one-and-a-half-year-old tabby boy who got stuck in a Sweet Gum tree in the woods behind his house in Watson, Louisiana. He was afraid of me in the tree with him, and when I eventually got too close to him, he decided it was time to bail. This acrobatic boy went to the underside of the limb and somehow managed to climb his way backwards and upside down all the way back to the trunk, even while often hanging by only his front claws. Watch carefully under the limb to see him dangling by only his front claws and swinging his back feet back up to the tree long enough to walk his front feet down another step. I have never seen a cat do this, and I didn't think it possible without falling. But Crawfish hung on, and worked his way down the trunk of the tree until he reached the ground.
