I. Primary PPH- A) 3rd stage PPH - Fundal massage CCT Check for completeness of placenta Not separated then Manual removal under G.A. B) True PPH 1. Atonic uterus- Use of uterotonics, fails, then Uterine compressions, fails, then Bimanual method Balloon Tamponade Surgical method- ​Uterine compression sutures Stepwise devascularization B/L Uterine artery ligation B/L ovarian artery ligation B/L anterior division of internal iliac artery ligation, if fails all, then -Hysterectomy 2. Trauma- Explore under G.A. and suture the part where the tear is there. II. Secondary PPH- The most common cause is retained tissues, so explore under G.A. And remove all the left behind tissues.
