At One Step from the End

I wanted to make a very expressive and sensitive music piece in D Minor, so I started by composing with a string orchestra. Then I added the horns to play the melody which sounded super good, then the basson replaced the horns for melody. In terms of structure, the horns are mainly here for the dramatic effect they give with their powerful sound, and the melody is shared between the violin with long and repetitive sentences and the basson with closely always the same tempo. I also did a sort of counter point with the cello in the first half, but actually we can't heard it. I pretty like the string orchestra but it make the sound a bit saturated. An expressive orchestral music in D Minor, which reminds of the consequences of War.
