We start this journey in a snowless Örebro and as we travel north we get more and more snow while the daylight disappears before we finally arrive in Borlänge. The line from Örebro to Ervalla was opened as early as 1856 and was one of the first normal gauge tracks (1435mm track width) in Sweden. At 0:09:06 you can see the now closed line Ervalla-Nora, that was opened the same year, veer off to the left. There have been discussions about opening this line again, but nothing has happened so far. We travel north through parts of Sweden that has a very rich mining history that stretches as far back as the Middle Ages or maybe even further. At 1:14:03 we are crossing over Silverhöjdsspåret. I have received criticism for muting the sound when I get a phone call or have a conversation with the onboard staff. So I tried something new in this video. Instead of muting the sound I have sampled the sound from just before and after the conversation and tried to loop it and blend it together. Did you notice? And what did you think about it?
