Landscapes for Elementary Students

I created this video because I couldn't find anything online to inspire my elementary students to create their own landscapes. This lesson is for students who have never tackled doing any landscapes at all. I have found that when my students were painting often times the instant they covered it with one layer they felt they were "done ". I created this video in order to help them understand that sometimes combine their colors, wet on wet on the canvas, but other times artist work in layers and use time to allow their paints to dry to create different effects. I run a choice based art class and I felt it was important to offer four different examples and that way students did not feel like they needed to copy anything I made. It's very important that they follow their own ideas and make their own choices on their work.
