After many trials and tribulations, it's finally done. I originally bought this kit back in late summer of last year. It sat around in my room for a while until I finally got around to it a couple months later. It was only then that I realized I was missing a crucial piece. I went back to the seller and asked for a replacement, which took several months to arrive. After starting the build again I was making good progress until another piece decided to fling itself across my room and go missing. I had to order a second kit because I wasn't waiting another 3-5 months for a replacement. It arrived within a few days and I was then able to finish the build. Quite the ordeal, let me tell you. Which is a shame, because the actual build was pretty fun. Solomon/Axis Model Works/whatever they're calling themselves this week have some very skilled designers who really know what they're doing. I've built both of their kits thus far and both have been a blast to build. Sadly, they do seem to struggle to make kits that are easy to pose. The Kshatriya will try to fold itself in half if not posed correctly, and the GP02, while better in some ways, is much worse than others. The MLRS backpack is nowhere near strong enough to hold six tubes on one arm, and I ended up giving up on having the model hold the shield in one arm. Which is a shame, because those parts are really nicely made. Overall, I think it's a solid model and well worth the price. I just wish the shield had an extra arm or something to lock it into the model, same with the MLRS backpack. Next up will be another third-party kit, although it will also probably have to come out on a Sunday as I will be away that weekend for another competition. Wish me luck, and I'll be back soon.
