YOU NEED THIS, DO NOT REMOVE, http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a17... It has a small hole in it for removing air during priming. DO NOT just use a plug... If you lost it.. get something that can plug the hole well and take a paper clip, heat it up and put a small hole in the plug you fabricated... doesn't need to be at the top, it can be in the middle of the plug. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a17... I will make a better video with good audio soon. excuse the sniffing(i'm no coke head, lol) and low audio, I had a runny nose and my GF was sleeping. The reason why the filter does not fillup during the priming is either caused by an air-leak on the intake side OR the placement of the filter. The remaining air that is trapped is unable to push through the output hose and it just remains in the top of the filter creating a waterline. The problem that so many people are having with these filters about the priming is the waterline they see in the filter. If you already replaced the o-rings and it still does this, the solution lies within the QDV. I will show you how to properly prime the filter and the SECRET trick to get rid of the water line at the top of the filter. The QDV has 6 o-rings, 2 can be purchased, but the remaining 4 cannot and Mars Rena only sells the QDV as an assembly. The O-rings at the bottom of the QDV are 13/16" OD x 5/8" ID x 3/32" thickness. These two o-rings that are visible are what can cause water coming out of the AC cord hole. So instead of buying 30c o-rings for 5$ from the manufacturer... just go to home depot or any good hardware store that has o-rings. Also MAKE SURE that the 4 screws that hold the two QDV parts together are TIGHT! You must be able to feel resistance when turning the plastic barbs, if it's too loose, the o-ring is either used or the screws are loose.
