Construction of Major Ziyarats in Kulgam Under Full Swing Kulgam, November 6: The construction work on four major Ziyarats Shareefs in Kulgam district is going on in full swing, bringing great satisfaction and relief to the local residents. Among these, the Ziyarat Noor Shah Wali Bagdagi (RA) at Kund, Kulgam is witnessing reconstruction progress under the supervision of the R&B Division Kulgam. The project is being executed on a fast-track basis, and locals have expressed their gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner Kulgam and the R&B Department for ensuring timely and efficient execution of the works. Speaking about the project, Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Kulgam, Shabir Ahmad, said that the total cost of the Noor Shah Wali Bagdagi Ziyarat project is ₹8.32 crore, and around 50% of the work has been completed so far. He further informed that the renovation work of Ziyarat Shareef Hazrat Shaikh-ul-Alam (RA) at Qaimoh is also progressing at full pace, with a total project cost of ₹3.19 crore. The Executive Engineer added that Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for Ziyarat Syed Simnani, Karan Ziyarat, and several temples across the district have also been submitted for approval to ensure preservation and development of these spiritual and heritage sites.
