I'm finally in the Midlands 3 hours North of where I live in England for a #PeakDistrict Overnight #WildCamp session, what a beautiful place! The UK Gov't annunced the lockdown a couple days later!!! I leave London via National Rail and head into Sheffield where I pick up some transport and head out to the Peak District (Above Howden Reservoir). The rain came down quite heavily as I parked the Forby and I was stuck inside waiting for a break to head up one of the hills, 20 min's later I was trekking up a steep track to what was to become my chosen spot. I set up the French F1 Canvas 2 man tent as quickly as I could in the pestering wind and drizzle as my jacket had started getting quite damp, Mountain Rescue almost fly over me doing a patrol or whatever. Late lunch was followed by an All Meat Stew Dinner which went down well and despite the heavy gusts of wind and rain on the tent I slept pretty well! The next day I explore the hill a bit, find some small streams and waterfalls (As well as awesome future camp spots!) *Tent: French Army F1 Canvas 2 Man Tent I Slapped on a British Army MTP BASHA Tarp after initial setup *Sleeping Set Up: Cheap-o foil reflective ground sheet (5mm) Highlander Base-S Self Inflating mattress (3/4 length) Snugpak Sleeper Lite (According to them comfort rating is -5 C and Survival is -10 C ...
