Week 4 of my Norwegian singles–inspired ultra training, and this turned out to be less about running — and more about decision making. Monday to Friday training went well, and the “train smarter, not harder” approach from last week continued to feel solid. But by the weekend, a slightly achy knee forced a choice: push on and tick the box, or back off and protect the bigger picture. In this episode I talk through that decision, why I chose not to run, and how that choice fits into a long-term training process rather than a single week mindset.
