#iceland #reynisfjara #reynisdrangar #beach #insta360 On the south coast of Iceland, you will find the incredible Reynisfjara, the black sand beach that has become a major tourist attraction, and for good reason. Unfortunately, as of February of 2026, bad weather and rough waves have washed away much of the beach so that access to the places you see in this video are prohibited for safety reasons. Reynisfjara is known for its sneaker waves, giant and unexpected waves, that have resulted in several deaths over the years, the latest in August of 2025. The impressive basalt columns that border the beach can also be seen further to the east, where Reynisdrangar stands tall in the rough seas, home to nesting birds. Legend has it that Reynisdrangar is the remains of trolls that were caught in the sunlight, doomed to spend eternity being battered by the relentless waves. The rotating view from the beach was recorded by me on a rainy, windy day in September of 2025. The remaining views are from a handful of drone pilots whose work can be found on Envato - thank you to them and their amazing videos!
