Here’s the full 2019 take, intro & all, for one of my favorite tunes written by Saxophonist Kenny Garrett. In the band is Lex Sadler on Bass, Brett Williams on Keys & Tim "Smithsoneon" Smith on Drums; This clip is from my March 2019 Show - Live at the Blue Note NYC. As you’ll see it took a second to get things off the ground as we had not played this tune for a while. Something I've learned as a band leader is that [memory-wise] truly good music is never forgotten, just temporarily inaccessible and one must have the patience to bring it back up to the surface for everyone in their band.
