Solo Harding Icefield Expedition - 7 Day / 64 mile loop - Exit to Tustumena to Exit Route: Ascended the Harding Icefield Trail along Exit Glacier, climbed on to Exit Glacier and skied across Harding Ice Field "Proper" to Tustumena Glacier, once reaching the bare Ice (fern line) of Tustumena Glacier, I looped back toward Exit Glacier weaving through the Nunatak field to the northwest and descended via the Harding Icefield Trail. I started up the Harding Icefield Trail at 7pm on 8 July 17 and completed at 5pm on 15 July 17. Spent 6 nights camping on the Icefield and 1 night just above the top of the cliffs along the trail. Climbed/Skied two smaller Nunatak's and rappelled inside a crevasse. Carried a 14' aluminum pole to mitigate solo crevasse danger. Weathered blinding whiteout's, severe winds, and rain. Along with a substantial thunder/lightning storm on 13 July. I did not see a person or track on the Icefield. https://www.nps.gov/kefj/learn/nature...
