🗓️ Solo Camping in Kumamoto Prefecture – August 13 to 14, 2025 🌋🌿🔥🥃 🚐 This week, I’m in Kumamoto, a region shaped by volcanoes and covered in incredible greenery. 🏞️ I set up camp on an extinct volcano, in a very isolated spot surrounded by lush nature. The last few days had brought heavy rains, so I decided to sleep in the car to stay dry, with just a light summer tarp for shade. 🥛 In the humid heat, I made an iced café au lait — refreshing and energizing. I always carry my Stanley box with my coffee kit. 🥦🥩 For dinner, I prepared vegetables and Japanese wagyu beef cooked on hot stone. Wagyu is already delicious, but stone-grilling gives it a truly exceptional taste. 🌅 As the sun set, the entire sky turned pink — a breathtaking end to the day. I lit the campfire, enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, and savored a whisky, my favorite moment. 🌙 The night passed quietly, and fortunately there was no more rain. ☕ In the cool morning air, I made coffee and pancakes — a perfect simple breakfast before packing up. ⛅ But as I prepared to leave, the weather changed suddenly: dark clouds gathered, the sky turned threatening, and the rain started just as I finished packing everything away.
