All individuals who work in New York's cannabis industry are required to complete the Responsible Workforce Training Program, which includes: Two online courses: “Cannabis Product Safety and Responsibility” (from the NY State Office of Cannabis Management) and “Cannabis Workforce Responsibility” (from the NY State Department of Labor). At least one hour of implicit bias or cultural competency training. At least two hours of position-specific training from your employer. This Cannabis Workforce Responsibility course developed by the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) provides critical information on labor standards, worker rights, and workplace health and safety. Optional Knowledge Check: Complete the optional Cannabis Workforce Responsibility Knowledge Check to test your knowledge of the content.
