Here's the second day of spray foaming out containers. Learning as we go...as per usual. We fixed a plastic air hose connection failure (the quick connect) failed the prior day. We ended up calling Mixsyn Equipment and they shipped us out updated brass versions and some extra tips as well. Fantastic support. While we waited for the package, I ended up going to Home Depot and made my own replacement from 3 fittings, 3/8" and 1/4" compression fittings, and a 3/8" compression connection that helps us screw things together. Easy fix and it worked nicely. I tried to increase the flow rate on the machine and ended up putting it back a bit. The pump settings forced the material to sputter out to the fun which made spraying difficult. Once dialed down a bit that flow are perfect and I continued spraying. Getting better at the flow control as well and trying to keep a steady wet edge. There are several techniques for spraying foam and I used them all I think. Ceilings are a pain just to get around the wiring, plumbing and top edges of the rooms. The walls are working out great thought and I am better at controlling the accumulation. We finished spraying the kitchen area, the utility room, and the apartment bathroom. Our initial plan was to spray those and then install drywall so that would be ready for the cabinets...however, we now on plan B. We are going to continue spraying foam until we are done. It's going quick enough so that we should be able to finish within the week. I am not spending the entire day spraying and so far have done about 3-4 hrs per day. We'll show a few closer views of the close cell foam in the next video but we are making good progress in all respects. Angie is on taping duty (covering the sliding doors, and windows). Spraying foam is a bit messy but overall the space is feeling really nice. It seems to make an immediate difference in any room we have sprayed. All in all, the Lil-pup is going great. I am recognizing when the tip starts to clog and purge it with acetone and then remove the little cone stub that forms inside the spray tip. I simply pop off the tip and remove the cone stub, then continue. I also have foam solvent that i throw used tips into and clean them prior to starting to spray each day. That has been working great. We have talked to Job Macias, our metal guy that will wrap the outside with R panels. He is going to use lots of the steel we have from our free building and is going to purchase Navy Blue panels for the rest...it should look killer. The Virtual plans with our color choice looks great. Also, dry wall discussions are starting...and we are hopefully going to hire pros to do that. We may end up doing a bit but not the entire house. Thanks again for the support from family and friends. Keep it coming. Next video...more spray foam for sure. Can't wait to be done... CYA
