AWA Radiogram restoration Part 1

This is the first part of the restoration of this cool mid-century AWA Radiola radiogram. Made in 1968 by AWA (Amalgamated Wireless Australasia Ltd) in Sydney, Australia, this is a classic late mid-century valve / vacuum tube radiogram featuring AM radio and a BSR model UA25 record player providing stereo reproduction from a ceramic cartridge. Although it looked like a straightforward re-cap and service to the radio section, I ran into a few problems. Many people will have a similar radiogram, maybe passed on from a family member, perhaps working, more likely not.
