Navjot Singh and his wife were taken in an Omni van with Porter signage to a hospital nearly 19 km away from the accident site because the hospital they were taken to, Nulife Hospital in GTB Nagar, is reportedly owned by acquaintances or family of the accused woman driver who hit them. Despite the availability of closer super speciality hospitals, Navjot and his wife were taken to this hospital, which raised concerns and questions from their family about the choice of hospital and possible tampering with evidence.
