Where's the most controversial branch of Gail's Bakery? The upmarket (and expensive) chain has landed in Walthamstow and has now been open for a couple of weeks – but not before hectic media attention to a petition from residents who say that it would put independent businesses in the area at risk. Now people are ordering £4 iced coffees and kale soups, Peeps went up to see if there was a strength of feeling about gentrification and how the 'village' in Walthamstow is different to the rest of the area.
