American Woodcocks are goofy and interesting birds that show up in early spring in the midwest, doing their mating display and making their classis "peent" calls during the evening hours. Sometimes, these encounters happen at night, so we used some night vision binoculars to make sure we didn't miss seeing these quirky birds.
