3d Camera Matching in Maya | bmpcc4 to Maya Matching lenses is important in Visual effects. I have never used a camera with a speedbooster before so I needed to test out the camera setup and take it into the 3d world. In this first episode in a series using the black magic pocket cinema camera 4k for VFX I will look at how I use the camera to capture a plate and match it in a 3d program, using a speedbooster from metabones. The metabones adapter reproject the image from the full-frame lens into a micro four-thirds lens mount. It's in a sense acting like a magnifying glass as you not only get more light from your lens but also gain back some of the lost field of view that the smaller sensor brings to the equation. If you are used to full-frame sensors, this combination almost acts like a super 35 camera would behave when using full-frame lenses and the speedbooster combo.
