This webinar was presented by Prof. Anne Ebert (University Ulm Medical Centre), Dr. Nina Younsi & Prof. Raimund Stein (Centre for Pediatric, Adolescent & Reconstructive Urology, University Hospital, Mannheim), & Dr. Bernhard Haid (Dept. of Pediatric Urology, Hospital of the Sisters Charity, Ordensklinikum, Linz). It was aimed at healthcare professionals. It was also supported by ESPU. A Primary Obstructive Megaureter (POM) is a congenital condition characterised by the abnormal dilation of the ureter. Timely diagnosis and management are crucial for ensuring the optimal urinary health and well-being of affected individuals. This webinar focused on the actions that need to be taken with regard to both diagnosis and therapy. The first part of the webinar addressed the essentials of diagnostics, separating the necessary from the optional. The second part provided insights into the indications for surgical interventions and delve into the decision-making process between minimal invasive and surgical correction approaches. The final part encompassed a discussion on the ideal follow-up duration, ensuring patients receive the most comprehensive care possible. eUROGEN is the European Reference Network for rare and complex urogenital diseases and conditions.
