Jackie Chan July is coming to a close but we still have one of Jackie Chan's most important contribution to gaming, Fists of Fire. Back in 1995, Kaneko approached Jackie Chan with an idea of a MK like fighter with digitized actors as sprites. Jackie Chan: The Kung Fu Master was created, with Jackie acting as the game's 3 boss characters. Fists of Fire, the game's update, adds the Jackies into the base roster. Jackie Chan in Fists of Fire is a very wild game. Incredibly fast ground dashes that can be canceled, combos that delete health bars, mashing to get off the ground, wake up attacks, strange juggles, pursuit attacks where your character grows large (or turns into a bird), giant explosions. It's everything you could ask for in a fighter. This online tournament was the first of soon to be many Dream Harrier Events.
