Another crackdown by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as it is carrying out searches in multiple locations in Chattisgarh. Over 15 locations are getting searched including Bhilai, Rajnandgaon and Raipur regarding jewellers and gold merchants. The raids started early this morning. There have been Income Tax raids in Chattisgarh for the last 2 days. Amid the IT raids, the ED also raided across the state areas suddenly at several jewellers. Sources believe that a lot of unpaid jewellery transactions are taking place. Apart from this, these jewellers have invested in the houses of a few officials of the government of Chattisgarh.
