The original game was produced for various consoles and a movie was made for Far Cry. In the game, you control Jack Carver, the owner of a boat rental company in Micronesia. ! S T O R Y ! Jack Carver decides to escape from his mysterious life and forget his past and leaves his boat rental company in the South Pacific. He is hired to take a female journalist named Val Cortez to an unknown island in Micronesia. When the woman's jet ski lands on the island, Jack's boat is blown up by a rocket. Jack is trying to escape a difficult situation, but he is thousands of kilometers away from home. Moreover, his only friend is lost deep in the forest and now he has to search for a way back to civilization. The soldiers' commander, Colonel Richard Crowe, orders the Jackal's undiscovered body to be found. After the DoD investigates the alleged situation, Jack and Val attempt to revise their project using tactical nuclear weapons to make Krieger err on the side of extreme caution. Although using a nuclear missile seems like a very challenging task for Jack, Val convinces him: "The only atomic bomb on this island is useful for blowing up the factory and its headquarters. Jack goes in with Val and gives the bomb. As the special forces pass by, they find a place to put the bomb and leave it. They escape from there, but they both faint. Kriger catches them and throws Jack to a known location. Here he shoots them with 10 bullets with the M409.
