In the summer of 2025, we sold our home in the city and moved to a rustic log cabin on 144 acres. We owned the log cabin for about a year-and-a-half, but we are thinking ahead to retirement. The previous tenant was a hoarder, so we had a lot of work getting to this point, and still have a ton of work to do. It took many trips to the dump and scrubbing everything, all while working full-time and living in the city. The cabin needs a lot of attention. It needs a decent bathroom, and kitchen. The existing kitchen had an ongoing plumbing leak that was never fixed, therefore the floor is rotten and the existing kitchen needed to be removed. Join us while we renovate this little rustic cabin in the woods, clear some land, and create a beautiful homestead.
