Important: read this to understand the video! There is tree anoraks on the video, two of them (Sasta Peski and Sasta Taiga) made of Ventile 100% cotton fabric and one (Fjällräven Numbers Anorak Nr.8) made of waxed polyester cotton blend fabric. Ventile is relatively waterproof fabric and this video should clarify why: Ventile is so tightly woven cotton that it swells when it gets wet and becomes like a hard shell. The anorak in the video which is made of polycotton gets wet - even it has wax blended in its cotton fibres - but it doesn't become waterproof. This video is not here to show which brand is better but to demonstrate how tightly woven cotton fabrics work. There is other similar alternatives for ventile, for example Etaproof and they works as well.
