The story goes that back in 2000, when "God, the Devil and Bob" failed to meet NBC's expectations, NBC cancelled all shows that were to be a part of their upcoming adult animation block. "God, the Devil and Bob" got sold off to Adult Swim, while "Sammy" aired two episodes per its contract and was permanently shelved by NBC. There are thirteen episodes of "Sammy" total, and all thirteen never aired after the original airing and remained lost until this year.
