AJ: What's up, everybody This is AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at this anti-rattle hitch pin from Let's Go Aero for two and a half inch hitches. You can see here, we've got a ball mount installed on our hitch today. I wanted to show you with a standard hitch pin here, non anti-rattle, the movement. It goes back and forth, wobbles, and up and down. That's going to get annoying as you're going down the road. So we're going to install this and see if that takes it out of there. We're going to show you how to install it on this ball mount today, but that doesn't mean it's just for ball mounts. You can use it on your cargo carrier or your bike rack, anything that has a hollow shank and that you're afraid or don't like the side to side or up or down movement. So we're going to go ahead and put the block in first. Let's go ahead and push on the spring and get it started. I'm going to use the bolt to push it and align it with that hole right there. You can see it's lined up perfect. This is a straight shot down the shank, just to show you how it's aligned and what it looks like in there. The block and the spring work together, pushing out on the sides. With our block installed in the hollow shank, we went ahead and put our ball mount in. We want to line up the hitch pin hole, just like we normally would, and then add our anti-rattle hitch pin. Slide it in this side. Make sure that the anti-rattle hitch pin goes in towards the block side here and push it in. We'll go ahead and install the sleeve on the other side because I found that as you tighten this down, it's hard to move this up and down and actually get that to slide in our space here. So we'll go ahead and add the sleeve now while we could move the hitch pin back and forth. With our anti-rattle hitch pin fully tightened down, we're ready to add our barrel lock to the other side. Just snaps in place like that. Let's see how it works.Well, I'm shaking the entire truck. And as you saw the ball mount wasn't moving up and down or side to side so I think it's doing its job. That's awesome. It's going to eliminate a lot of that noise when you're driving down the road and just annoyances in general. That's pretty cool. Now that we know it works, let's go ahead and take a closer look at it.The anti-rattle hitch pin is a steel construction with a chrome finish. So that means you don't have to worry about it rusting and corroding when you leave it out in the elements. You can just leave it on the hitch of your truck with the ball mount and not worry about it. You don't have to take it off every time and take it inside or anything. The lock also has protection with this rubber cover, protecting the lock itself. So this is just like the hitch pin. You don't have to worry about it rusting and corroding or getting gunked up and not turning it to unlock it. You can leave it out. It'll be fine. Just cover it up.Speaking of lock, it's great that it just comes with it. Most anti-rattle hitch pins don't come with a lock, and this one gives you a really good lock. It's a nice strong barrel lock here. It snaps on and off very easily, giving you that extra security in your hitch. Now with that barrel lock, though, it will add a little bit of inches to your overall anti-rattle hitch pin here. It's about six inches from this side to this side. So keep that in mind for any accessories you're going to add to your hitch. If you have safety chains you're going to add here, it might kind of get in the way so that's just what you're going to be working with. And that's it for our Let's Go Aero anti-rattle hitch pin. I hope the close look was helpful..
