STUNNING Easy Open Cup with vibrant metallics..Great Big Shmears I have to say that I really love the open cup technique. Especially on a black canvas with beautiful vibrant metallics. My base paint is my Meeden acrylic in Black and my colours are the Artminds DIY candy apple, splash, gold.. and some Golden's nickel Azo gold. All paints for mixed only with floetrol and water to a medium consistency. A mound that stays on the surface for a moment and then sinks. You want the paints to stay in place and not lose those luscious cells. I then did some great big shmears just as sub movement through the piece. It creates magnificent cells and lacing, and for that I use the black Amsterdam formula which is one part Amsterdam oxide black with four parts American floetrol..
