The Ghost of the lake is an animated story about the believe of water ghost in Cambodia. The story talks about a ghost which died because of drowning. She called for help before she completely drowned. Veasna which is the son of Pu Mao heard the voice with his friend but because it was too dark, they could not find the source of the voice and thought it was a confusion, so they went away. That made the woman very angry after she became a ghost. She wanted to take Veasna’s spirit but because Pu Mao is a Khmer magic man, he could protect his son. At the end of the story, Pu Mao decided to celebrate the traditional ceremony to dedicate good deed for the ghost and to send her to a happiness place in her ghost world.
