As you can see, my video is absent of me except for my voice (whoopsie-I was the one behind the camera), so let me introduce myself: My name is Maddie Goldberg. I am a Junior attending school in Connecticut. I am an active head of the community service and film clubs at my school, as both activities have been my personal passions throughout my 18 years of life. In this project, I focus on how one may define 'community service', through footage of several projects I have participated in through the 'Hands on Hartford' organization, and brief footage from past service initiatives. I hope to not only display my own efforts towards service, but also to convey that by taking advantage of service opportunities in their local communities, anyone can 'lose themselves' and end up influencing the lives of others in ways they never thought they could.
