Starting his career in 1995 at Petaling Jaya Hilton. Apart from that, Kamaruddin then decided to take a bigger step in exploring the culinary world as he enrolled himself with the Royal Viking Sun Cruise Ship and Sea Bourn Cruise ship under Cunard Ltd. He then shifted over to the Jabal Dhana Abu Dhabi, UAE, and Khartoum, Sudan for 2 years. Upon gaining enough experience, he returned to Malaysia in 2003 and working several 5-star hotels in Kuala Lumpur, etc. The Westin KL, Mandarin Oriental KL In the year 2008, he decided to join Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel as Chef de Cuisine. His dedication and hard work paid off and was promoted to Executive Sous Chef in 2012. And it’s been continuing with promotion as Executive Chef of Sheraton Imperial from January 2016 to June 2018. But now he is flying his career with MasAwana Sdn Bhd and base at Bandar Bharu Salak Tinggi as Corporate Executive Chef / KUL Station Head. Chef Kamaruddin also active in the Chef Association in Malaysia (National body) and holding the position of President of Professional Culinaire Association (PCA) with approved and members of the World Association of Chefs Societies with the voting right. He also certified by the World Association of Societies as Level B judge Approved. 🔴 Rouya Shehab Hello, I am Rouya Shehab I’m a Lebanese chef and cooking is my life. I first experienced cooking when I was just a little kid and could not stop since then and I started my professional career at the age of 16. I studied hospitality management and worked at the same time in different restaurants where I experienced various cuisines. After 6 years of experience, I participated in top chef middle east 1st season where I was the youngest contestant and had the opportunity to exchange expertise with reputable international chefs. A couple years down the road and here I am in Malaysia now learning all about that exquisite taste of Asia. I would like to share with you a fraction of my Lebanese culture with our traditional “Freekeh”! Enjoy and bon appétit!
