The funds were raised by the school and parents to support public education. The funds also covers for transportation of learners and upgrading of the sports field. The minister of education, innovation, youth, sports, arts, and culture, Sanet Steenkamp, highlighted the value of investing in education. "This school, serving 1,377 learners from pre-grade to grade 7, you are really, really managing the growth demands with foresight, coordination, and commitment from every stakeholder. Dr. Steenkamp also commented on efforts to tackle overcrowding in public school classrooms across Namibia. "Our schools, and especially in the Khomas Region have increased with 2.8%. It is no joke; it may look small, but it is a significant pressure that is put on school managers. But these new learning spaces, I believe, will strengthen teacher-learner interaction, enhance the quality of the teaching, and also provide our learners with an environment that is conducive to excellence and personal growth." Suiderhof Primary School principle, Alna Similo, emphasised the journey towards building new facilities and improving existing facilities for learners. "Today marks more than the unveiling of classroom and ablution facilities. It marks the visible outcome of a journey. A journey defined by vision, partnership, discipline, sacrifice, and unwavering belief in the power of education."
