Current Transducers are used to convert current into electrical signal, Current transducers have mainly three parts i.e. sensor, conversion, and power. The current goes in and the sensing component detects the electrical parameter and give a signal. The signal is passed to conversion component, which can convert the signal to a small current signal. Then it is passed to conversion circuit, which process the small current signal and provide an industrial standard electrical signal, usually is 0-5V, 4-20mA. These types of CT’s have a power circuit to provide the power to “conversion component” and “conversion circuit”. Applications: Major application of LA55-P is in AC variable speed drives and servo motor drives, Static converters for DC motor drives, Battery supplied applications, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Switched Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) and Power supplies for welding applications.
