American students spend 180 days (or about 1,000 hours) in the classroom during a regular school year. That seems like a lot, but how do other countries approach classroom time? Russia requires the least amount of time in class, at just 598 hours per year. And Costa Rica leads the world, requiring 1,147 hours per year. Keep in mind, not all school days are created equal. For example: American students get about 30 minutes of recess each day, while Finnish students enjoy 75-minute breaks. Every student would like more vacation time—but some kids have it harder than others. South Korean students get just eight weeks off from school each year. That’s half as much time off as American students get. School may look different around the world...but all nations have at least one thing in common: No one likes cafeteria food. 📝 SCRIPT 🎁 BONUS CONTENT 📚 SOURCES ⚡️AND MORE... https://www.kiteandkeymedia.com The world is complicated … but the explanations don’t have to be. ⚡ New videos every Wednesday.
