Follow us on Twitter at: / imeet_pv / ngse_conf Talk by Dr. Rhiannon Kennard a postdoc in the Cussen’s group at the University of Sheffield (UK) for the NGSE PhD-Postdoc series on March 9th 2022 Abstract: Halide perovskites are of great interest for optoelectronic applications such as solar cells, light-emitting diodes and photodetectors. The majority of perovskite-based devices are made from solution-processed thin films. For this reason, it is crucial to understand how processing and post-processing steps impact the perovskite crystal structure(s) present in films. In this talk, I will discuss how Grazing Incidence Wide-Angle X-Ray Scattering (GIWAXS) can be used to probe phase composition, crystallite orientation, and mobile crystallographic interfaces of halide perovskite films. Using this information, we can then design thin films with better controlled phase distribution, morphology, and optoelectronic properties.
